Buongiorno people! I am being a little Italian today because I am really enjoying Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy on CNN. My Foodie Adventures This is a place where I will be going and providing a review in the near future in the St. Augustine, FL area. This past week Buc-ee’s opened. It’s considered the Disney World of convenience stores. By the look of the pics online it looks interesting especially having some good jerky on display! For those of you who wanted to know about Hot Chicks House of Chicken in Pembroke Pines, FL-here’s my short review.
Nostalgia Schoolhouse Rock In 1973, this collection of educational cartoons that revolved around themes like grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics and civics was provided ABC Television. Note: I received an A+ in elementary school after learning, memorizing and reciting “The Preamble“. Disney + users, now you can see most of the collection!

Apps to try out Well, if you have seen in the news, Clubhouse is the latest app to hit the world wide web. It’s a new type of network based on voice and it’s available for Apple users for now. Here’s a webinar which will delve into how to get started on Clubhouse from my friends at Blogger Union.
70’s/80’s music I have been listening to this past week
This week, I have been all over the place with my music selection.
- Jan Hammer Remembering his Miami Vice TV sounds.
- Soda Stereo Argentinian rockers. I wish their lead singer was alive.
- Harry Connick Jr. God, I miss New Orleans music and food. Harry’s coming out with an album on March 19. Listen to “Amazing Grace“.
- Giorgio Moroder I was remembering the last 5 minutes of 1978’s Midnight Express film (scene where a Turkish Prison Warden is about to rape American Billy Hayes played by Brad Davis but kills the warden then escapes from the prison) and loved how Moroder’s music just blends in the end of the film. Powerful film!
Where are they now? Cast of Pretty in Pink. So growing up in the 80’s, I was and am still a movie freak (now I pick and choose what films are good for my brain). One of my favorite directors at the time was John Hughes and his films because he had a connection with the youth of that time period. Now comes Pretty in Pink. To be honest, I have yet to see this whole film since it came out in ’86 but have seen bits and pieces of it throughout the years. Maybe it’s because…. I’d rather not say. Anyway, here’s a good article of where the cast are now since the film turned 35 years old last week.
