Today, we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord! Jesus’ immersion in the water is a sign for all human beings of the need to die to themselves to do God’s will.

Today is the feast day of Saint John Neumann! In 1852 he was named the fourth bishop of Philadelphia. He founded more than 50 churches and greatly expanded Catholic education.
